About Recording

Why record your demo in your own space instead of a studio?

Recording your music can be a very stressful event.  Many times in recording sessions I have witnessed artists loose all will and confidence because they could not play as well as they knew they could.  A studio environment can cause an artist anxiety, and nervousness.  Thinking about the hourly payment, the patience of others and the constant critiquing is exhausting. In the comfort of your own rehearsal room your mental capacity is not hurdled by being in a foriegn environment, therefore it allows your abilities as a musician to go unchallenged.

What is a demo?

A marketing tool to promote your talent.  It should display your potential as a creative artist.  Perfection should not be the goal in a demo.  Of course, whatever music you play and songs you have written should be open to criticism and tweaking.  You better believe that a record label or agent or producer etc. is going to want to change what you have written.  But before you come to that step you first need to display the musical creativity you possess.

Is there an actual studio I can go to if say I am a solo artist and don't need to lug a lot of equipment around?

Yes there is and we can setup an appointment for you to come by and check it out.
